INTERESTED IN A SUMMER INTERNSHIP?

Summer Internships With CARE

Communities Allied for Racial Equity is looking for passionate students that want to learn about non-profit development and grassroots racial equity work. If you or someone you know is passionate about racial equity work and meets the requirements listed below, please send your resume, references, summer conflicts, and cover letter explaining why you want to intern with CARE to ashtenspilker@againstracialinjustice.org


Opportunities would include:

Attend team meetings twice a week

Possible participation in meetings with other organizations 

Helping to develop social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) 

Shadowing organization leaders in racial equity meetings 

Helping with various upkeep tasks 

Learning about the development of and participating in events that may occur. This may include actually working the events, organizing, brainstorming, etc. 

Learning interpersonal skills

Watch a growing organization navigate growth 


Requirements:

A passion for equity 

Be willing to work with diverse teams 

Flexible availability*** see note 

Tech-savvy 

High school or college student 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred 

Critical thinker

Willing to participate in research and analysis

Able to maintain confidentiality 


Deadline to Apply: June 1st 

Length of Internship: Summer semester (will vary depending on the educational institution)


*** CARE is aware of the inequities that unpaid internships present. If you have to work during the summer, but are still interested in an internship position, please still apply and we will try to work with you. If you are a high school or college student with summer classes, please be aware that these classes take priority.
